Brownfield Data and Database Management—The Key to Address Land Recycling

Brownfields sometimes represent a development problem but at the same time also hold potential. With accurate and up-to-date information it is possible to assure regeneration process effective; therefore we investigated in detail of brownfields management two countries: Slovenia Czech Republic (the Moravian-Silesian Region). The article compares databases data itself both selected case studies, evaluates identifies patterns change with focus on regenerated sites. In period 2017–2022 have noticed growing number included cases, despite share brownfield sites that been excluded from database. Both study cases show ensuring continuity work monitoring knowledge transfer are critical for sustainable successful regeneration. Based comparisons, recommendations summarised how make database an effective tool could be relevant more land recycling.
